Channel vs. Canal

Hi guys❗ I'm sure that you have ever heard these words, which sometimes are confused.

Channel
This word has different meanings.
Channel can mean a 📺 station and all the programmes that it broadcasts.
      I just watch a sport channel.

Also, we say this noun to refer to a method used for sending and obtaining information, or distributing things.
     Opening channels of communication with it is very important.

Additionally, 👨👩 use the word channel to name a narrow area of water joining two larger areas of water such as two seas

Canal
A canal is an artificial lake or river made for boats to travel along or for taking water from one area to another.

When you are talking about a television station, you say channel.
Another meaning of channel is a way of communicating information or distribution of products.
A narrow area of water that connects two larger ones is named a channel, while an artificial area of water used for carrying water to another place or for boats to travel along is a canal.
