Teacher vs. Professor

Hi guys❗ I'm sure that you have ever heard these words, which sometimes are confused.


Do you know what the difference between them is❓ If you don't know it, read the following ❸ conversations and try to guess. Good luck 🍀❗

Teacher
A 👨/👩 whose job is teaching in a school.
      Who's your English teacher?
                           ↳ English/maths/etc. + teacher
      Do you remember our secondary school teacher?
                                             ↳ primary/secondary/etc. + teacher

Professor
This noun is used to refer to a high-ranked teacher that works at university.
     He's recently been named the economics professor in his workplace.
                                                         economics/history/etc. + professor


Remember❗
We use the noun teacher to refer to someone who works teaching in a school.
While, we use professor to call a person who teaches at university.
